Zine | Playing Cards

Inspired by photocopied flyers and zines of the 80s/90s, the Zine Deck is a unique deck of cards designed by ShyBrainsGetNowt.  Each element was printed/cut out/pasted back together and scanned in to create this super tactile, super scuzzy deck of poker cards.

Artist ShyBrainsGetNowt designed a base deck of cards before printing off each element for every card; cutting them out, scuzzing them up, and pasting them onto a blank deck of cards to scan in.

Sometimes he ripped them, sometimes he scribbled on them. The result is a deck of recognisable and useable playing cards with all of the character, life and analogue quirks of Xerox art!

No digital effects or Photoshop scripts have been added to the deck (apart from flipping the black to a neon pink colour for the red suits), every scuff and scanner-warp really happened!
