Laura Skilbeck is a Manchester based artist with a love of hand-drawn and painted illustration in a world of ever more computerised images.  She loves how greetings cards are little affordable art works that go out into the world, connecting people and spreading cheer.

Alongside her paintings and illustrations Laura has run community art workshops, home-schooled her children, spent ten years writing songs and playing guitar with her DIY girl band, and helped to create a free art school in Salford and establish Saddleworth Art Trail.
