1930’s Geometric Motif Print Cotton Day Dress | Vintage

Beautifully cut and sewn, generously sized, extremely wearable simplicity in a dress.  The pattern placement and print is wonderful, with back-faced contrast print to hem and sleeves. 

This one had us pondering.  The textile, care in pattern placement and overall construction, skilled internal stitching techniques and elastic used have us thinking 1930’s.  The cut and elasticated waistline is reminiscent of 80’s home sewn dresses but we’re not feeling that from the textile and internal construction.  We’re going with 30’s, that was the gut feeling when we unearthed this dress during hand picking…there’s something about this piece.
